Since I have been involved with this company I have been so impressed with the progress of the young people in learning new skills, growing in confidence and self esteem and in may cases gaining meaningful employment. The dedication of the Development Manager and team in assisting the young members to achieve their aims is second to none.
Skills4Work has helped me gain paid employment. I was also asked to be a Director for the group, an opportunity I have taken up, and I am still proud to be involved with the group in this way. Skills4Work supports me in my paid employment, which I have been in for the last 4 years.
Family and friends see a huge change in my son, as a direct result of the charity. He is so much more confident and has developed new friendships as a result of the charity, and enjoys meeting up with friends now, and going on day trips and to the match. He has a structure and routine and we always know he is safe and enjoys the programmes he attends.
I really enjoy being part of this charity. They have guided me into independence and being a more responsible adult. As a result I am able to take ownership of tasks, and help support the daily running of the charity. I am delighted to be part of the paid staff team and also remain a member to supprt new members as a peer mentor. I now also have employment with N.E. Autism and the Co-Op following my work Placement.
