Volunteer Month - June 2017

We are delighted that our volunteers were able to meet with each other and discuss their involvement with the charity, and the achievements from the last 12 months.

We would like to thank the Gateshead Fund for supporting our Volunteer Celebration Day.

Charities in Gateshead have a vital impact supporting our local community, and without the support of generous volunteer time this would not be possible.

OUR VOLUNTEERS

We have an amazing volunteer team who, in the first year July 2014 - July 2015 donated 4,023 hours to our organisation.

Our volunteers are now supporting in a wide range of activities and areas of interest where their skills and experience can be best used.

We would like to thank our volunteers for attending internal and external training to develop our organisation and the quality service we offer to all involved.

VOLUNTEERS MEET GATESHEAD MAYOR

To thank our volunteers for their dedicated work, a visit was arranged to meet our current Gateshead Mayor, Councillor Alex Geddes.

The Volunteers were thanked for their hard work and dedication ad the Mayor gave us a very interesting insight into his role. The Mayor's assistant also described the history of the role, the chains of office and the mace.

The volunteers really enjoyed the afternoon and we thank Gateshead Council for making us so welcome.

"Our volunteers play a vital role in supporting our group members and the organisation to develop and grow. Visits and events such as today allow us to thank our volunteers for their life changing work."
