@Sage Foundation -
We were delighted to be asked to attend the above event on Wednesday 17th May. We sold our hand-made cards
to Sage staff and had the opportunity to chat with staff from the Sage Foundation.
We are very grateful to Sage for their support and kind words about our charity.
We presented 2 requests to the panel:-
We were delighted that Sage staff agreed that our Social Action Projects were ones that they would like to support.
Representatives of our group attended an external visit to Komatsu in Birtley. The group members learnt about the companies history and took a tour of the factory.
The group members enjoyed the visit and found it interesting to learn about how the machinery was built and used around Europe.
We found the ice-breaker a fun activity, and found the individual questions very
interesting.
We were made welcome by all the staff during our morning visit and it will certainly help the 9 people involved to reflect at their next interviews and
support future training on group interviews.
Once again we thank ASDA for their valuable time and support of our Employment Support Group.
Members of the group visited SAGE to learn about the organisation and how the company has developed into a world wide brand. We had the opportunity to meet other groups similar to us and learn about the work they do in their communities, and their enterprise programmes
